Photography - Painting with Light - is passion!  It involves emotions.  Art is seeing the scene and seeing the light, feeling the scene and feeling the light, and faithfully capturing the seeing and the feeling.  Emotions of subjects are certainly critical.  Equally important, however, my emotions are inextricably engaged.  I don’t just see an image I want to capture; I feel it.

 

An emotionally healthy photograph reveals and helps us absorb genuinely beautiful and often subtle characteristics in people, other living things, places, and circumstances.  For people, my photographs are personal gifts of a precious piece of time.
